Sharp single crystal that is perhaps 95% altered. This leaves a few attractive windows of rich blue azurite that only adds to the aesthetics of this specimen.

Very attractive blue-white botryoidal coating of a crystalline matrix below. However, it looks like this could be a pseudomorph after some other mineral as there are the lumpy remnants of what might once have been crystal form here. A nice combination of color and two different forms.

This was a huge crystal of azurite that has been completely pseudomorphed into malachite. Not only is the size impressive, but about 50% of the malachiteās surface is the choice variety with the beautiful iridescent shimmer. A terrific specimen and a large example at this quality level, for under a grand!

2157- Malachite ps Azurite- $750
Tsumeb Mine, Namibia
Small Cabinet , 5.9 x 3.3 x 2.1 cm

The chatoyant shimmer of this malachite pseudomorph is made even more beautiful by the fact that the luster is variegated in lovely patterns all along the surface of this large crystal. This would make an excellent addition to many collections.

Tsumeb Mine, Namibia
Small Cabinet , 7.5 x 3.3 x 3.2 cm

Stunning set of three pseudomorphs (5 cm down to 2 cm) with a beautiful variegated shimmer for the luster. Better than even the pics show, by an order of magnitude, because it is so 3-D and glittery.

3400 - Sturmanite ps Barite - $50
Black Rock Mine, near Kuruman, South Africa
Thumbnail, 2.1 x 1.3 x 1 cm

Sharp yellow Sturmanites supposedly pseudo'd after Barite. I have to say i am not convinced and have never heard of this replacement, but then again the sturmanite crystals DO look unusual and DO look superficially like barites in form....feedback, anybody?
