SC-102 Willemite
Tsumeb, Namibia
ex. Gary Hansen Collection
Cabinet, 9.5 x 5.5 x 5 cm

John Schneider Photo

A VERY RICH example of the gemmy, botryoidal blue willemite that occurs at its best from Tsumeb! This specimen is almost a solid piece of willemite, with rich, colorful, glassy, translucent bubbles arranged aesthetically throughout. It came originally from Charlie Key and was sold to dealer/collector Gary Hansen in the 1970s

SC-54 Willemite on Dolomite (SOLD)
Tsumeb, Namibia
ex. Dave Wilber collection
Cabinet, 9.5 x 5 x 3 cm

John Schneider Photo

One of the finest examples of blue willemite from Tsumeb, because of the sharp contrast with crysatllized white dolomite. The color appears, therefore, superficially more rich. It has a nice, sugary lustre to it, as well. ex. Dave Wilber to George Holloway in the 1970s

SC-191 Willemite on Dolomite
Tsumeb, Namibia
ex. Prosper Williams to Carl Davis Collection
Small Miniature, 3.75 x 3.5 x 2.75 cm

A sharp example of the rare CADMIAN willemite found at Tsumeb but rarely, in this case beuatifully contrasted against dolomite matrix.

SC-189 Willemite with Wulfenite
Tsumeb, Namibia
Small Cabinet, 6.5 x 3.5 x 3 cm

This is a striking Tsumeb specimen that consists of amber-colored willemite crystals stacked into GLISTENING, brilliantly lustrous ball-shaped aggregates, the whole cluster completely translucent and sparkling as the multiple crystal faces catch the light. Small orange-red wulfenite crystals sprinkle the surface, as well. Complete on front and sides, this makes for a stunning and unusual Tsumeb willemite! This is the best example for its size that I have seen of the habit, and I sold it to the Sussmans some years ago.

SC-190 Willemite with Dolomite (SOLD)
Tsumeb, Namibia
Small Cabinet, 6 x 5.5 x 3 cm

John Schneider Photo

A striking Tsumeb specimen notable for the unusually rich blue color of the willemite (sold from a previous Sussman deaccession and here for sake of completion).
