4334 - Betpakdalite - $400
Tsumeb Mine, Namibia
Large Miniature, 5.9 x 2.7 x 1.8 cm

This extremely rare arsenate shows bright yellow thin crusts and a superb complete sphere measuring almost 2 mm (atop-center), all of which contrast nicely with the dark gray metallic matrix. Better in person, under a scope! Because it is visible, this is an extremely rich example of this rare species for any reference collection!

WI14020 - Brochantite - $1250
Tsumeb, Namibia
Small Cabinet, 8.8 x 5.1 x 3 cm

A truly exceptional, unusually rich brochantite specimen! It would be good for any locality but for Tsumeb, in particular, because of the size and showiness, it is a major piece. VERY SPARKLY AND ATTRACTIVE IN PERSON...and of very high calibre for the locality quite aside from teh show value of the piece. It is one of my favorites here, but the pics don't convey why!

WI3119 - Tsumcorite on Quartz - $1450
Tsumeb, Namibia
Large Minaiture, 5 x 4.5 x 3 cm

I really think this specimen is a winner! The color of the tsumcorite is an attractive rich orange-yellow . The tsumcorite clusters are unusually well-isolated on contrasting matrix and have a 3-dimensionality to them you do not often see (they look actually somewhat cubic so i wonder if they are pseudomorphs). To me, this is the best tsumcorite in the collection, with vividly-colored orange-yellow aggregates to 5 mm in size. The crystals are large for the species and the rich coverage and good color also make it an unusually displayable piece!

3334 - Cuproadamite and Cobaltian Adamite, and Willemite - $250 (SOLD)
Tsumeb Mine, Namibia
Miniature, 3.7 x 2.1 x 1.6 cm

This is a very rare and interesting combo piece! It seems as if a matrix of calcite is overlain by radiating, acicular groups of colorless willemite; but actually the "calcite" is COBALTIAN adamite which is very rare for Tsumeb. The cobalt-rich and decidedly pink adamite grades into a second generation of light green cuprian adamite, with a rare pyramidal-looking crystal form . VERY interesting and rare specimen!

Tsumeb Mine, Namibia
Miniature, 3.4 x 2.9 x 1.3 cm

This is a great Tsumeb specimen! There are numerous gemmy, deep green crystals of cupro-adamite,some doubly terminated to about 1 cm in length! The crystals have inclusions of Ferrilotharmeyerite which lends them color. Sprinkling them are sub-mm sized, but bright yellow beaverite.

Miniature, 4.8 x 2.9 x 2.7 cm

Tsumeb Mine, Namibia
Miniature, 4.4 x 2.8 x 1.7 cm

On top of radiating acicular groups of clear mimetite sits beautiful green, sub-mm sized crystals and spherical aggregates of bayldonite. Rare in crystallized form! For Tsumeb collectors this one is hard to beat simply for the combo alone, aside from teh interest for the species.

3500 - Conichalcite on Dioptase on Calcite - $250 (SOLD)
Tsumeb Mine, Namibia
Small Cabinet, 7.0 x 3.9 x 2.2 cm

Only at Tsumeb will you find these unusual combinations! This specimen starts with a layer of crystallized clear to white calcite rhombohedra upon which sit emerald green, lustrous dioptase crystals up to 3mm; and on top of this are spherules of forest green conichalcite to 3mm. This reminds me of a layer cake. It is gorgeous and velvety in person, as well as being a significantly rich Tsumeb CONICHALCITE. As you can see from front and back shots, it is covered all around with this rare mineral.
