Tsumeb, Namibia
Small Cabinet, 7.6 x 5 x 3 cm

A gemoetrically stunning cerussite specimen with unusually thick and unuslaly glassy crystals. It is complete nearly all around, though it has a few small dings here and there that do not visually detract (although the price would otherwise be $2500 or more).

WI2291 - Cerussite - $1250
Tsumeb, Namibia
Miniature, 4.9 x 4.4 x 2.2 cm

This very gemmy, exquisitely twinned crystal has the best glassy lustre you can ask for and a pleasing, unusual white color to it! It is nearly a floater, with just a small bit of matrix attachment in back. It is remarkably complete all around. There is some minor damage but the worst of the dings is not really all that distracting as it is on the right-side spoke rather than the top and major display area of the piece. If not for those dings, too, it would be thrice the price, making this an affordable near-killer cerussite of a quality you just seldom see. It is REALLY fine, in person, save only the few dings mentioned! If not for the small bits of damage, it could easily fetch 5k and more. Even now, its still a bargain, I'd consider.

WOW! This is one of my favorites in the whole collection for rarity, color, and downright pizzazz. It is an extremely fine example of the rare red cerussites, found just once at Tsumeb and among the most treasured of all Tsumeb minerals today for their unique beauty. This one is relatively large for the material, and is COMPLETE ALL AROUND. It is perched on a wee bit of matrix and can be displayed from any side. MUCH BETTER IN PERSON than indicated in the photos! Obtained 8-15-1986 from famous dealer Sid Pieters before the Denver Show.

Superb example of reticulated Cerussite with large, well developed bladed crystals coated with a chalky , stark white layer of Hydrocerussite (actually, it is probably just starting the process of truly pseudomorphing into the HC and that layer is probably an alteration rather than a coating). There are a few trivial dings but nothing that bothers me in ontext. Because of the aesthetics and size, the piece has an enormous visual impact. Large cerussites of this calibre are just exceedingly rare, and so this is very simply an excellent specimen for any collection.

This UNUSUAL dark Cerussite has been included by sulfides, giving it a deep and attractive brownish color. On top of that, you have an unusual habit for this location and very good , pearlescent luster. Overall, this interesting specimen has a lot going for it.

Excellent combination specimen with Cerussite, Duftite, and Dolomite. All three minerals are well developed, and the aesthetics of the piece are very good. As nice as the pics are, it is even better in person.

Excellent luster and good habit stand out on this nice miniature. An interesting form for the overall piece and good crystal clarity add to the attractiveness. There is some minor chatter on one termination, hence the low price, but the form really stands out and makes it worthwhile despite the little damage.

This specimen consists of beautiful twinned crystals that are in the early stages of reticulation. The color, clarity, and luster are all superb, and the main crystal has a perfect termination and zoning! The leftmost crystal is unfortunately broken, though. This is much better in person.
